“In simple terms, risk is the possibility of something bad happening. Risk involves uncertainty about the effects/implications of an activity with respect to something that humans value, often focusing on negative, undesirable consequences. Many different definitions have been proposed” - Wikipedia
How many of us have a love/rate relationship with “risk” ?
I know I do!
Are some “risks” bigger than others? Who determines that? Is there a general risk meter or is it determined on your own given situation?
The common denominator with all of that is YOU determine the size of the risk for YOU. No one else can determine that but YOU, because risk looks different for everyone.
"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
- T.S. Eliot
The funny thing about risk, is by definition and when our human nature kicks in we always look at the negative factors that partake in potentially taking a risk.
Why is that?
For me, I feel like there’s multiple reasons why I had feared taking risks in my life:
I let people project their fear of taking risks onto me
My faith was weak
Weak with the man above
Myself
My overall path in life
Negative Outlook versus Positive Outlook
Once I started drawing closer to God, myself, and positive thoughts over negative thoughts my vision and where I want to go became much clearer without the feeling of not feeling confident, others opinions, and avoiding risks because of an unclear outcome.
I leave you with this, I appreciate y’all rockin with me for 14 weeks and counting! Hope you guys can relate!
